This is a knee-jerk reaction.

Alrighty, so with the new netbook in place, that opens the door for me to really do some more writing! So figure that, that so early on in the game, all I can really find to write about today is how much I hate the world sometimes. A nice, hateful, anger post, full of mostly knee-jerk reactions, but hey, they're words, and most people don't really seem at all interesting unless they're showing how human they are and showing how much they hate shit.

The letters "FTW" stood for something completely different than what it is known for these days. Like most things it gets its grubby paws on, the internet ruined the acronym that was synonymous with anyone who followed professional wrestling throughout the 90s and into the early 2000s. No, back then, FTW didn't stand for "for the win." FTW was a motto. A motto of no bullshit, and to not let anything get in the way of personal goals. "Fuck the World," it was known as, and it was used by the professional wrestler, Taz. Before the second Z, and before the internet ruined it. And if I may, just for at least today, or until this entire mess is settled, bring it back to its roots, at least to me, FTW has a whole different meaning then popular culture dictates.

In the X-Men universe, there was a memorable storyline in the late 90s, that revolved around the mutant-killing disease, known as the Legacy Virus. It was a fascinating little bug, since it had the ability to pretty much infect all human beings, but only those with the mutant genes within, would it actually begin to get to work, and eventually kill the mutant. Let's ignore the fact that it later evolved into a less discriminant killer, and that it was what finally got Colossus to STFU, by killing him when he martyred himself off, but today, I was wishing that there was a Legacy Virus in real life, but instead of preying on mutants, it preyed on the poor, the irresponsible, the burdens of society.

Not necessarily the impoverished, because there are legitimately people out there that are just down on their luck, and have the potential to get back on their feet and make something of themselves. I'm talking about the true dregs of society, that contribute jackshit to the world, and have no ambitions, talents, or capabilities, but are still kept afloat by the tax dollars of the government and all their bullshit programs to keep them involved in society when the middle class is left to sink or swim in their own mediocrity.

I tend to not really think about the way the country is run, until it begins to duly effect me, and right now, it is effecting me. I might be somewhat of an asshole, but I'm a responsible asshole. I pay my debts off in a timely fashion, am never late with paying for my shit, and even in desperate times, I still manage to find ways to make sure my debts are settled. There are as of now, at least twenty-two households of people that cannot say the same, and it's because of people like that, do I suffer consequences that are completely out of my control, which is a known fact by everyone involved.

I'm a hard working American, unfortunately stuck in the middle-class, and as a result, the inequities and failures of the poor-class has a profound effect on my immediate future. Where the fuck is the logic in that?

I'm upset. But I don't really know who or what to be upset at. Incompetent failures in everything including life, the banks that lend these high-risk/low-reward parasites money, or our country's government that essentially forces the banks to fork over the cash, because "everyone deserves a chance?" As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't really matter, because none of it is going to change the fact that everything sucks, by no fault of my own, and it just is not fair.

FTW.
